Official Cyber Essentials certification through Apexward Group, an IASME Certification Body and NCSC Assured Service Provider. Self-service from £320 + VAT.
Cyber Essentials is a UK Government-backed scheme owned by the National Cyber Security Centre. IASME is the scheme’s delivery partner and manages the network of Certification Bodies.
Cyber Essentials helps organisations defend against the most common commodity cyber attacks by implementing five foundational technical controls.
The five controls
- Firewalls and internet gateways
- Secure configuration
- Security update management
- User access control
- Malware protection
How certification works
- Prepare your environment and scope (use our readiness checker).
- Purchase an assessment and complete the verified self-assessment questionnaire.
- A Certification Body assessor reviews your answers and issues feedback or a certificate.
- Certificates are typically valid for 12 months and renew annually.
